Going to Playa Paraiso in Tulum is a unique experience.

There are many reasons that make Tulum one of the best tourist destinations in the Riviera Maya, such as its beautiful beaches, places to relax and have fun.

Playa Paraiso is one of the most important and famous beaches in Tulum thanks to its privileged location in the Caribbean Sea, making it a meeting point for any vacationer.

If you are planning your next vacation - or if you are planning to move to Tulum - here you will find everything you need to know about Playa Paraiso, how to get there, what to bring, and what you can do in this incredible place.

What is it like to visit Playa Paraiso?

The entire Riviera Maya has beautiful beaches, and what can you expect from a beach called Playa Paraiso? This is a dream place that will make you want to live in Tulum, Quintana Roo.

The first thing you will notice when visiting Playa Paraiso is that even though it is a public beach, it is not as crowded as the beaches of Cancun.

One of the advantages of visiting Tulum is that most of the tourist attractions are surrounded by the Mayan jungle, allowing you to connect with nature.

It is common to find plants and animals in their natural habitat, since Tulum is place with little pollution and few people.

In spite of this, Tulum is not exempt of amenities, cafes, bars and exclusive restaurants, since the hotels and shops of the area have been in charge of combining luxury and nature.

One of the advantages of Playa Paraiso being open to the public, is that you can visit without having to stay in any hotel. This gives you more freedom when planning your tour of various places.

And what else does Playa Paraiso offer?

It is very difficult to find other waters as clear as those of the Caribbean Sea. All along the coast you can see the white sand that perfectly matches the color of the water.

However, recently has appeared the sargassum, which is a type of macro-algae, and its accumulation on the coast is a natural phenomenon that has occurred in recent years.

In Quintana Roo, the effect of sargassum on the environment is being investigated, while measures are being taken to keep the beaches clean. However, sargassum does not affect the beach experience at all, as it is something natural.

Things to do in Playa Paraiso

You've reached Paradise Beach, now what? The most obvious activity of all is swimming, an opportunity not to be missed.

Playa Paraiso, unlike other beaches, does not have many waves, nor is it deep, and the water temperature is warm.

Diving is another favorite activity among tourists since it allows them to admire the marine flora and fauna, since there are many coral reefs in this area, and it is home to sea turtles.

This area is also perfect for playing beach volleyball or soccer with family or friends.
